In “Robotics Trends (2023–2025),” we explore the current and potential impact of robotics on various aspects of society.

The impacts of robotics are vast and varied. Robotics kits offer a practical means of inspiring STEM learners. Robots can help humanity with our most dire environmental challenges by monitoring climate conditions and maintaining green infrastructure. In labor markets, robots could further increase safety and streamline industrial workflows. However, policymakers must anticipate and address challenges such as job displacement, as well as the more abstract need to preserve human agency and values.
